Clarisse Émond-Larochelle

Biography

Clarisse holds a B.A. in International Relations and International Law with a concentration in Women Studies. She has a keen interest in the sexual violence and feminist issues, most notably in the relationship between immigration law and gender-based violence and is constantly striving to find ways to act concretely on these issues. Clarisse works with community organizations that fight for and give services to immigrant women and victims of sexual violence. Clarisse is also highly involved in the Quebec Youth Parliament as the President of the Board of directors. At Oxford, Clarisse intends to pursue studies with a focus on women issues and hopes to open an international dialogue with young leaders around the world about the legal and political treatment of sexual assault.
