Biography
Maitha AlMemari is currently working on her capstone, which aims to understand what different factors influence Emirati youth males and females when it comes to their academic decisions. She currently interns at the Education and Human Resource Council and is one of the Co-directors of the Student Life Program, Sufara'a. The Sufara'a program is designed to equip, develop, and prepare a selected group of students to become effective ambassadors within the University and the UAE community. Maitha is passionate about intercultural interactions, which is why she leads several programs that aim to foster those dialogues. She is also the inaugural recipient of the Associate Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence that recognizes the single most impactful student leader in the student body. She has also received the President's Service Award, which is bestowed by NYU President Andrew Hamilton for commitment to cross-cultural understanding.
