Biography
Brigid graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History. Her thesis focused on the Nixon Administration's efforts to facilitate Arab-Israeli peace negotiations in the early 1970s. She has volunteered with organisations that support people with disabilities and refugee rights groups in Australia and abroad. Brigid is a passionate advocate for gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence. She has interned at the UN Human Rights Council and worked in family violence policy for the Victorian Government in Australia.
