Biography
Harriet completed a Bachelor of Justice (Honours) in 2014, with a thesis examining the ways in which differing NGOs work against human trafficking in India and Nepal. Throughout her degree, Harriet managed the delivery of a literacy and numeracy program for homeless and at-risk young people who had disengaged from formal education. During 2015, Harriet has worked coordinating volunteer programs in Nepal and Cambodia, and acted as a volunteer development advisor to a large NGO in Kupang, Indonesia. Harriet is excited about creating strategies for strong NGO governance, collaboration, and accountability measures. She is also a passionate advocate for LGBTIQ rights, both in Australia and in the developing world. Harriet enjoys travel, portrait photography, reading, and chess.
