Biography
Toluwalase attended the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where he bagged a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with a distinction in Pharmacology. Following graduation in August 2016, he worked as a Medical Intern at the prestigious University College Hospital, Ibadan. He is passionate about healthcare delivery in Nigeria, and strongly believes that health-related problems in low resource settings are best addressed locally. Toluwalase has served as Programme Director of CHECK - a non-governmental organisation involved in health education, screening and diagnosis, especially in underserved communities. He is also co-founder of The Ganglion Initiative, which is focused on career counselling, mentorship and health education for adolescents. Toluwalase will be furthering his studies in Health Sciences at postgraduate level at Oxford University.
