Serena Dai

Biography

Serena is a senior student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) majoring in Molecular Biotechnology. She is an undergraduate researcher at the UGC-AoE Centre for Plant & Agricultural Biotechnology in CUHK, where she is doing research on the plant immune system, and she hopes to continue her pursuit of biological study at Oxford. Outside the laboratory, Serena is a member of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholars Alumni Association and she has worked with volunteering groups to improve the status of asylum seekers in Hong Kong and set up volunteering projects to aid underprivileged primary school children studying in Northern Hong Kong. In her pastime, she enjoys birdwatching and hiking the Wilson Trail.
