Biography
Ofentse is a final year M.Sc. research student in the School of Chemistry at Wits. He also holds a BTech Chemistry (Cum Laude). He intends to pursue a DPhil in Materials at Oxford University. Ofentse is a recipient of several awards, including the 2015 prestigious James Moir Medal of the South African Chemical Institute (SACI), the 2015 SACI Young Chemist (1st place M.Sc. category), and the Centre of Excellence In Strong Materials 2015 annual symposium prize. He is a member of SACI, International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), and a planeteer of the Applied Centre for Climate and Earth System Sciences (ACCESS). He serves in the current elected Wits Chemistry Society committee. Besides science, he is interested in International Law and social justice.
