Christina Pao is completing an Intensive B.A. in Classics and a B.A./M.A. in Political Science at Yale University. Her academic research focuses on migration and marginalization, and she has published a theory-building piece on refugee integration with Social Science Works (Berlin). She has worked on issues of gender and displacement at international and local organizations like the United Nations (ESCAP), International Rescue Committee, Integrated Refugee and Immigrants Services (IRIS), and Sex Workers & Allies Network (SWAN). A Truman Scholar, Christina has also bridged her interests with politics by working for a legislative official in New Haven, the office of U.S. Senator Patty Murray, and a number of local campaigns. She hopes to continue studying migration through the lens of sociology and demography at Oxford.
