An Exponential Space...

At a time when so many forces are driving people apart, Rhodes House has been transformed into a state-of-the art space to bring people together.

A space that can develop and connect compassionate, innovative and public-spirited people impatient to solve humanity's challenges.

The reimagined Rhodes House is a destination featuring: our state-of-the art convening centre; our beautiful garden pavilion; accommodation for Alumni, Fellows and visiting guests; exciting facilities such as the new XR lab. It is a place for people to meet, think, study, create, and learn, a resource for Scholars, for colleagues in Oxford and for our wider community to enjoy.

A place to develop Exponential Potential.

It’s all about leadership. Our world today needs courageous, wise, generous, service-minded leaders — and the Rhodes is dedicated to expanding and empowering them. What better place to invest?

The Exponential Potential of International Convenings and Programmes

With your support we curate a vibrant and growing portfolio of programmes for our global community. With the Rhodes House renovation complete, our state-of-the-art spaces allow us to host convenings, forums, and events on topics such as technology, art, global health, and much more. As we strive to address global challenges, we also create opportunities for our international and intergenerational community to join the conversation through our fully hybrid facilities, which ensure that living or working beyond Oxford is no barrier to having a seat at the table.

The solutions to global problems extend beyond the walls of Rhodes House, and we are increasingly working to connect with Scholars and other members of our community in their home countries around the globe. In the 2024-25 year, the Rhodes Trust is offering programming in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and with your support we strive to increase these opportunities in years to come.

This is the exponential impact we can unleash.

The Rhodes Trust is uniquely positioned to convene leaders from different areas of expertise and regions of the world, in critical areas that touch the global community, such as pandemic preparedness. It was a privilege to work with the Rhodes Trust and the Global Health community on our recent ‘Always On’ Pandemic Preparedness Summit, and I hope this example inspires other efforts for the Rhodes and the broader global community.

Recent Events & Conversations

Our programmes serve both Scholars and the broader community, and contribute to learning, service, and impact across every stage of life. They create the building blocks that foster cross-generational collaboration, mentoring and support.

A Place for the Arts

The Rhodes Trust is committed more than ever to nurturing the creative and catalytic spirit of our community.

We have launched the Public Art Initiative, welcomed the very first Rhodes Artist in Residence, and have installed several temporary and permanent exhibitions across Rhodes House. These pieces allow us to pause and reflect on the complex and difficult legacy of the Rhodes Scholarship, and also inspire hope for its vibrant future.

Last year, visitors to Rhodes House could experience an outdoor exhibit, Journey of Discovery, which was a partnership with The World Reimagined. This powerful exhibit featured twelve unique painted globes that explored the history and legacy of the Transatlantic Trade of Enslaved Africans.

The Rhodes network shows us that art-making of all kinds has healing power and can help move communities forward.
