Biography
Jonah Stewart, San Dimas, is a senior at Duke where he is pursuing an A.B. in Classical Language, and where he has a 4.0 GPA. Jonah's research uncovers and challenges social hierarchies by studying history and classical texts. His senior thesis investigates the early history and blossoming of papyrological studies in North America. A passionate advocate for marginalized populations, Jonah has assumed a number of leadership roles in efforts to alleviate poverty. He is a Founding and Executive Board Member of the Duke Coalition for Alleviating Poverty. Jonah sings and plays the guitar, piano, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, and bass.
