Description

A Screening & discussion of "For Tomorrow" following grassroots innovators dedicated to fighting today's most pressing sustainability issues

Join us for the screening of the documentary film For Tomorrow followed by a post-film discussion on 10 May at Rhodes House or online!

Part of the Lifelong Fellowship portfolio, The Film Fora series screens a social impact movie, and aims to leverage the creativity and intellectual firepower of a global community to develop actionable systemic change ideas that could help respond to a world in crisis.

The film:

For Tomorrow follows the journey of grassroots innovators dedicated to fighting some of today's most pressing sustainability issues. Through actions, big and small, everyday change-makers are tackling local problems and inspiring their communities with ingenuity, resilience and vision. From the streets of Baku to a farming community in the Andes and the mountains of Northern India, the documentary follows five innovators on their quest for real, actionable change. Their journey to innovation is never simple-how do you keep going when even your husband doesn't believe in your idea? -but the power of their vision keeps them going. Is the world ready to finally listen to them and change the way it handles and solves global problems?

This is followed by a post-film discussion in conversation with Gina Lucarelli - Team Leader Accelerator Lab Network, UNDP and the documentary's Director, An Tran!

For those unavailable to join us in person, the discussion will be live streamed and the film is available to be watched in advance on Amazon Prime or Youtube. Please indicate upon registration how you will be joining the event.
