Jaynie Anderson AM FAHI OSI (Rhodes Visiting Fellow & St Hugh's 1970) is an art historian, writer and curator of exhibitions, known for her publications and exhibitions on Giorgione and Venetian painting. In this talk, followed by a Q&A, she tells the extraordinary story of the discovery in 2017 in the University of Sydney's 1497 copy of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy of a drawing by Giorgione; her book, Giorgione, Dante and the Sydney Incunable, was launched this week in Melbourne.

Jaynie also talks about her recent invitation to lecture in Rome and Naples, and why it is relatively unusual to have conferences on Venetian art in these cities.
