Biography

Jeremy Thomas is a senior at Amherst College majoring in English and Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought. Jeremy is student body president, a founding member of Amherst's Center for Restorative Practices, and founding student director of the campus's first student-run office, the Office of Student Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He has captained the Mock Trial Association and was president of the Black Student Union. He has won writing and public speaking prizes, and interned for Georgetown Law Center's Prettyman Clinics, the Southern Center for Human Rights, and Reprieve. Jeremy's honors thesis analyzes lynching and the Fourteenth Amendment, and he has published research on death row exonerations. At Oxford, Jeremy hopes to pursue an MSt in English and American Studies and an MPhil in Law.
