Hattie Seten

Biography

Hattie J. Seten is a senior at South Dakota State University, where she is a triple major in Political Science, Global Studies, and Spanish. She serves as student body president and has steered the university's student-led coronavirus task force during the pandemic. Hattie aspires to a career as a Foreign Service Officer serving in Latin America and the Middle East. She has received multiple fellowships from the U.S. Department of State to pursue Arabic language studies. She recently interned at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City where she worked on visa application issues. At Oxford, Hattie plans to further her studies in global governance, as well as refugee and forced migration studies.
