Billy Byiringiro

Biography

Billy Byiringiro is currently a final year student in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh. He's been a class representative, co-founded and captained an international student basketball team in Intramural Sport. He interned in several UK tech companies and was a Finalist of UK's Undergraduate of the Year Awards 2020 in the category of Computer Science, IT and Physics. He's also the co-founder of BuniTek, a social venture creating technology enthusiasts and innovators among young people in Africa. When not coding, Billy enjoys learning new skills, reading, and playing basketball. His passions are technology, education, entrepreneurship, and Africa development. At Oxford, he hopes to continue pursuing Artificial Intelligence, investigating ways he will employ it to empower various sectors in Africa.
