Biography
Towera was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems with distinction from University of Malawi, the Polytechnic, in March, 2019. During her time at university, she was president of the Computing and Information Technology Society and Vice President of Charity for all societies. Towera has previously worked for Baobab Health Trust as a software developer and is currently working for the Reserve Bank of Malawi as a Systems/Software Engineer. She is passionate about coaching and mentoring girls in technology and is currently a trainer for TechPearl (An organization that trains girls in digital skills). She is interested in furthering her studies of social data science at Oxford University, as she believes data is the currency for today and it can answer many key questions to development.
