Biography
Tala is a trans non-binary gender nerd and recovering software developer, with a research background in both Computer Science and Gender Studies. As a DPhil student in the Human-Centred Computing group at the Computer Science Department, their research focuses on designing technologies for trans communities. Guided by a T4T ethos, they aim to circumvent the all-too common ways in which trans people are subject to spectacle and voyeurism, and instead share and create within and for trans communities. Simply put, their work was inspired by and is intended for all the trans people in their phone.
