Biography
Sandra is a recent medical school graduate from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her area of interest is in oncology and transplantation medicine. She is passionate about tailoring Western medicine research and novel therapies to the African setting. She was awarded a research scholarship to the Charité - Universitätsmedizin, Germany, where she conducted research in kidney transplantation. She was one of three students from Africa selected to participate in the BEEP training program, Berlin 2019. She has served as the Chairperson of One Health Club, University of Nairobi, where she brought together students from different fields in health to undertake research and tackle 'One Health' challenges at community level in Kenya. During her free time, she enjoys graphic design and is a Kenya Sign Language Instructor.
