Biography

KDee-Aimiti has recently completed her Bachelor of Arts with Honours at the University of Auckland. Her undergraduate degrees were in History and Politics and her postgraduate year was devoted to Pacific Studies and Development Studies. As the first Pacific woman to be awarded a Rhodes Scholarship, she hopes to focus her studies on the colonial-development interface in the Pacific in order to show what self-determined development means for Pacific people. Whether through education, academia or international politics, KDee-Aimiti hopes to champion the voices of Pacific geographies and people in non-Pacific spaces so as to further collective Pacific causes.
