Biography
Andile is a final year medical student at the National University of Science and Technology in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Andile is engaged in research and advocacy for equitable access to safe, timely, and affordable surgical care.During his studies, Andile has served in surgical societies in Southern Africa and globally, most notably as the founder and chair of the Zimbabwe Student Surgical Network. From these roles, Andile has participated in multiple surgery conferences, symposia, and courses world-wide. At Oxford, he intends to pursue Musculoskeletal Science research with a global surgery focus. Thereafter, he hopes to specialise in clinical trauma surgery while conducting research in Africa. Andile has been an avid debater since High School and he has served in the University Sports Council as tennis captain.
