Anat Peled is a senior at Stanford pursuing a B.A in History with a concentration in Political Thought and a Minor in Symbolic Systems. Her honours thesis examines the lasting significance of a key institution in Israel's founding story, the kibbutz, a cooperative settlement based on complete equality. She is an avid writer and has published opinion pieces on Israeli and American politics in Israeli newspapers such as Haaretz and The Jerusalem Post and writes for The Stanford Daily. Prior to Stanford, she served as Project Manager for the Israeli non-profit Budo for Peace which uses martial arts to bring together Arabs and Jews. Anat is passionate about understanding conflicting group narratives through the study of history and languages. She speaks English, Hebrew, Arabic, Russian and French.
