Nikkita Ngalande

Biography

Nikkita Ngalande is a senior at Michigan State University pursuing a BSc in Actuarial Science with a minor in Economics. She is a MasterCard Foundation Scholarship recipient and a member of MSU's Honors College. At MSU Nikkita has served as the Vice-President of the African Student Leadership Association, Treasurer of the Actuarial Science Club and as a math tutor for the Engineering and Science Success Academy. Her current research focuses on the fiscal sustainability of local governments within Michigan. She has previously interned with Swiss Re in New York and in Cape Town. Nikkita is passionate about developing the financial services industry in Africa and reducing world poverty. She enjoys reading, cooking and photography. At Oxford, Nikkita hopes to pursue studies in mathematical and computational finance.
