Biography
Amal Al Gergawi is a senior student at New York University Abu Dhabi majoring in Social Research and Public Policy with concentrations in Economics and Film. Her work and research centers on enhancing the well-being of forced migrants in refugee camps, conflict-zones, and host-nations. As a policy researcher, Amal has worked on crafting a pilot housing program for Syrian refugee families in Greece. As an intern at Unilever, McKinsey & Company, the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and the Embassy of the UAE to Japan, she has fused dynamic engagements to address the ailments of humanitarian aid cross-dimensionally. Amal is currently working with data from Global TIES for Children to examine the relationship between mobility and mental health among refugee children in Niger.
