Volunteer: Character, Service and Leadership Programme

The Character, Service and Leadership Programme (CSLP) is a core part of the Rhodes Scholar journey during their time in Oxford.

The CSLP facilitators are crucial to the learning experience of the Scholars in Residence over first two years of their Scholarship and they are a central pillar of our approach.

We engage facilitators to support and deliver a core learning experience of the programme. Each facilitator is assigned to a ‘learning pod’ of c.10 Scholars in Residence, working with them over key dates during the 2-year period that Scholars in Residence undertake the majority of the Scholar Programme.

In Michaelmas Term, we invite Expressions of Interest to be a Character, Service and Leadership Programme facilitator. Look out for announcements in the monthly Rhodes Alumni Update and the Rhodes Connect Weekly Digest.

What our Facilitators say

“I found it such an enriching experience being a facilitator - thank you for the opportunity.”

“I really enjoyed facilitating my pod and working with you. Thank you for providing such a supportive environment to do this work, and I hope to see you again soon!"

“I would 100% welcome the opportunity to facilitate again. I truly loved the experience and it was an honour to work with the Scholars.”

Expressions of Interest

To express interest in volunteering as a CSLP facilitator, complete the expression of interest form when available in Michaelmas Term, or email the Scholar Programme team.
