Biography
Tianpeng Wu, a first-generation college student, is currently studying English at Peking University. He has been recognized as a “Student of Merits” multiple times and is a recipient of the Leo Koguan Scholarship, among other honors.
Tianpeng’s research interests lie in moral (ethical) anthropology, particularly topics such as intergenerational care among migrants, the good life, and meaning-making. He has conducted long-term ethnographic fieldwork at Beijing Children’s Hospital and at a private run nursing home in Yanbian, where he produced extensive field notes, academic essays, and an ethnographic film. In addition, he has a deep passion for theater performance.
He hopes to pursue a MPhil in Social Anthropology.
