Biography
Tianpeng Wu, a first-generation college student, is currently studying English at Peking University. He has been recognized as a “Student of Merits” multiple times and is a recipient of the Leo Koguan Scholarship, among other honors. Motivated by his interest in trauma literature, he is also among the first cohort of members in Foreign Literature Translation Practice program at Peking University.
Tianpeng’s research interests lie in moral (ethical) anthropology, particularly topics such as intergenerational care among migrants, the good life, and meaning-making. He has conducted long-term ethnographic fieldwork at Beijing Children’s Hospital and at a private run nursing home in Yanbian, where he produced extensive field notes, academic essays, and an ethnographic film. In addition, he has a deep passion for theater performance.
He plans to pursue a second bachelor’s degree in Anthropology.
