Biography
Shev holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) with Distinction from the University of Western Australia. An aspiring orthopaedic surgeon, Shev is already an award-winning orthopaedic researcher with a passion for teaching. At Oxford he intends to pursue a DPhil in Musculoskeletal Sciences focusing on orthopaedic surgery and its application to resource-limited settings.
Outside of academia, Shev is passionate about medical advocacy and equity, having served in executive positions on the Medical Student Council of WA and the WA Medical Students' Society. Over the last six years he has volunteered for, and coordinated, the Australian Medical Association (WA)'s DrYES program. An accomplished martial artist, Shev now competes at an elite level in ultimate frisbee.
