Biography

Keidy L. Palma Ramirez, El Paso, is a senior at Brown University pursuing a double major in Education Studies and Social Analysis and Research. As a fronteriza from the El Paso–Ciudad Juárez borderlands who grew up in a mixed-status family, Keidy centers border communities in her scholarship and advocacy. At Brown, she co-founded the Brown Dream Team, a student-led organization supporting peers who have experienced liminal status, and has served as a tutor with the Brown Refugee Tutoring and Enrichment Program. She was awarded the Royce Fellowship to design a community-anchored project expanding college access and culturally affirming curricula for youth along the U.S.–Mexico border, and conducted research on immigration as an intern with the Pew Research Center’s Race & Ethnicity team. At Oxford, Keidy intends to pursue an MSc in Migration Studies and an MSc in Social Data Science.
