Biography
Jay works on preparing society for powerful artificial intelligence through technical research on AI safety. Currently, he is a Research Fellow at
MATS, studying how AI models can influence each other while evading human oversight. He is also interested in measuring
gradual disempowerment and
extreme power concentration due to AI. Jay is graduating from Harvard in May 2026 with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Mathematics, and a Master's in Statistics. Read more about his motivations
