Biography
Jamie is a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Physics) (Honours) student at Curtin University, in Perth, Western Australia, and a recipient of the Don Watts High Achiever Scholarship. His field of interest is fundamental theoretical physics, and his work with Curtin's Institute of Theoretical Physics has been published and presented at international conferences.
Jamie is currently 18 years old, having started his degree at age 14 after several years of home education. He is openly Autistic, and is committed to sharing his experiences and advocating for neurodivergent students in higher education. Jamie also enjoys writing, both academically and creatively, which he views as a tool to raise awareness of global issues such as climate change. Outside of science, he also enjoys hiking and mountaineering.
