Biography

In’utu Imbuwa is a recent graduate of Northwestern University in Qatar, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Strategic Communication, graduating Cum Laude with Dean’s Scholastic High Honors. She was a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Global South (IAS–NUQ), completing a year-long independent study on Zambia’s political communication that resulted in a publication translated into Arabic and Bemba. She is also the first author of a co-authored journal article on dress practices in Zambia and has presented her work multiple times at the International Communication Association (ICA) conferences.

In’utu intends to pursue graduate study focused on development and the Global South. She hopes to build a career that bridges academic research and policy practice to support equitable development.

Professionally, In’utu has interned with the FIFA Legacy Programme during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and later at FINN Partners’ headquarters in New York City and Siemens in Qatar. She is passionate about literacy, storytelling, and community service, and has been involved in initiatives supporting education. She also enjoys sewing, volunteering, and traveling.
