Biography
Fatima is committed to improving life outcomes for vulnerable people, especially in Africa. An African Leadership Academy graduate and Georgetown University in Qatar Valedictorian, her experience across three continents spans policy and socio-economic inclusion, advancing public-private alignment, private sector growth, and sustainable development.
As an international affairs major, she focused on socio-economic development, women, and Africa. She also led the African Students Association and a French language immersion collective, creating spaces for belonging, intercultural engagement, and student advocacy. Her research explored education, public health, and the experiences of marginalized groups in Africa, generating insights and policy recommendations aimed at improving life outcomes.
Professionally, Fatima works at US-Qatar Business Council – Doha, collaborating with public, private, and non-governmental partners to advance job creation, innovation, and international economic cooperation across the U.S., Qatar, and emerging markets. She has also interned with Libra Philanthropies, supported policy advisory work in Nigeria with Africa Practice, and facilitated integration programs for refugee communities.
At Oxford, she hopes to study a Master of Public Policy to deepen her ability to design effective talent development systems that enable individuals to access and create quality employment opportunities, empowering them to alleviate poverty, live with dignity, and foster economic advancement in Nigeria and the developing world.
