Biography

Emma (she/her) is a queer settler and feminist from Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where she was born, raised, and educated. Recently, she completed a Bachelor of Arts Double Honours degree in Gender, Sexualities, and Social Justice Studies, and History at the University of Saskatchewan. Throughout her academic journey, Emma has focused on amplifying the power of community and countering polarization, with a strong commitment to trans rights and queer advocacy. She served as President of the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union for the 2025–2026 academic year, and through her community involvement, continues to be passionate about making leadership accessible, advocating for inclusive decision-making, and creating spaces that foster courageous conversations. At Oxford, Emma will be pursuing an MPhil in Women's, Gender and Queer History with the hopes of exploring how the intersections of trans rights, gender justice, and feminism influence past, present, and future social movements.
