Emma is completing a Bachelor of Arts, Double Honours in Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice Studies, and History at the University of Saskatchewan. Emma is a queer settler and feminist, born and raised on Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatoon. Her work engages deeply with gender, sexualities, social justice, and social histories, grounded in frameworks of human rights and social mobilization. Throughout her academic journey, she has focused on amplifying the power of community and countering the effects of polarization. Passionate about making leadership accessible, Emma advocates for inclusive decisionmaking practices, and the importance of building spaces for courageous conversations. She hopes to continue exploring the intersections of social movements and human rights discourse, applying these insights to strengthen spaces of advocacy and social change.
