Asad is a senior at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, majoring in Physics and minoring in Mathematics. His senior-year research focuses on black holes and Hawking radiation. Passionate about science communication, he has led interactive mathematics sessions through LUMS Math Circles and serves as the Director of Salam Sessions, a department of the LUMS Mathematics Society. There, he launched an outreach program to promote girls’ access to mathematics education. Beyond academics, Asad has a keen interest in Pakistan’s history, philosophy, and the relationship between science and religion. He enjoys cricket, sharing funny memes, and late-night drives around Lahore. At Oxford, he hopes to pursue a DPhil in Theoretical Physics and ultimately establish a national science society and a quantum technology industry in Pakistan.
