Andy Tomusiak

Biography

Andy Tomusiak earned a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University, where he also earned a commission as an intelligence officer in the US Army Reserve. Andy works as an analyst in the Policy Directorate at the State Department’s Office of Foreign Assistance Oversight, where he supports strategy and policy development for more than $50 billion in economic, humanitarian, and security assistance. Andy has experience in conflict prevention and response across a range of organizations, including the US Army Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute, the US Institute of Peace, US Africa Command, and the Fund for Peace. In his reservist capacity, he leads a platoon of 25 Soldiers in human intelligence operations. At GW, Andy was a member of the Dean’s Scholars research cohort, co-founded an interfaith fellowship, and wrote for the undergraduate law review. At Oxford, he intends to pursue a Master of Public Policy and an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy.
