Biography

Titus Malunga is a Rhodes Scholar-Elect from Zambia, known for his academic excellence and dedication to sustainable development. He graduated with a BSc in Business and Project Management from Copperbelt University, emerging as the top student in the 2022/2023 academic year with a record-breaking score. Titus’s diverse professional background includes roles in banking, where he served as a Graduate Management Trainee at First Capital Bank, gaining experience in departments such as Credit Origination, Internal Audit, and Commercial Banking. These roles equipped him with skills in financial analysis, risk management, and client engagement.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Titus is an entrepreneur, having founded a startup focused on agriculture and supply-chain solutions to enhance food security and local economic growth. His leadership extends to his role as President of the Project Management Association at Copperbelt University, where he championed student engagement in business strategy and project planning.

Outside of work, Titus is a dedicated community leader, serving as a choir director and violinist in his church. He is driven by a commitment to Zambia’s 2030 SDGs and the 2050 Net Zero goal, aiming to address the challenges of climate resilience and sustainable development. At Oxford, he plans to deepen his expertise in sustainability to establish a consultancy focused on economic and environmental progress, with a focus on creating opportunities for youth in Zambia.
