Shepherd Dzina

Biography

Shepherd Y. Dzina, Tuxedo Park, graduated from the United States Military Academy with a BS in Economics. At USMA, he was the Brigade Executive Officer for the Corps of Cadets, serving as third in command of its 4,400 members, was President of the West Point Finance Club, and an editor of the West Point Journal of Politics and Security. Inspired by a childhood love of cooking, particularly recipes rooted in his family’s Taiwanese heritage, he has pursued research on food insecurity and economic mobility in the armed forces and analyzed global poverty data for the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. Building on his experience working at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, Shepherd is currently reading for an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy.
