Biography
Shahmir Aziz is a senior at Harvard University pursuing a Joint Concentration in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics with a Secondary in Computer Science and a Language Citation in French. His research focuses on patient-centric drug delivery and bionanotechnology.
Outside of the classroom, he is passionate about diplomacy and global governance, and served as a leader of the Harvard International Relations Council and Harvard’s Model UN Team. He also heads Harvard Pakistan Trek, which plans on bringing thirty leading Harvard students on a cultural and intellectual trip to Pakistan.
At Oxford, Shahmir plans on continuing his research in bionanotechnology, and on studying diplomacy with a focus on global health to better understand how cross-border ideas in biotech can be cultivated.
In his free time, Shahmir plays on the Harvard Club Tennis Team, and dabbles in sports journalism with the Harvard Crimson.
