Mohammed Alharthi

Biography

Mohammed Alharthi studies the tools of foreign policy and statecraft. He is a returning associate at McKinsey & Company, where he works on elevating governments’ performance. He has served in the United Nations’ Departments of Political & Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations and chaired a UN interns committee that channeled youth priorities with UN Ambassadors. At UCLA, he earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Mathematics & Economics with highest honors, completing an award-winning thesis on the statecraft of Gulf States using LLMs. His early experience includes working in strategy at the Saudi Industrial Development Fund and advancing expertise at UCLA’s Center for Middle East Development. Mohammed consults California-based startups on Gulf markets in AI, robotics, and Industry 4.0. Engaged in youth affairs, he co-founded Furas to build an internship ecosystem in KSA. He sits on the Youth Program Advisory Committee of Misk Global Forum and the General Assembly of Nuqsh. At Oxford, Mohammed is completing the Master's of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government.
