Alyssa, from New Brunswick, is a senior at Amherst College where she studies Neuroscience. She is writing an honours thesis on sensory processing in zebrafish, has conducted Neuroscience research at Yale Medical school, and served as a Clinical Research Associate at a Level I trauma center. Alyssa is a varsity ice hockey player, president of the Amherst chapter of Amnesty International, volunteers with Tapestry Mobile Health Clinic, and is an EMT for Amherst College Emergency Medical Services. Alyssa is also an active youth hockey coach and has published a story on AAPI advocacy in athletics. At Oxford, she intends to pursue an MSc in Translational Health Sciences where she hopes to explore interdisciplinary approaches to medicine and integrate creative, accessible innovations into healthcare practices.
