Tori Harwell

Biography

Tori Harwell is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and educator. Their undergraduate thesis is applying queer and Black theoretical frameworks to cocoa farming practices in Ghana. At the University of Oxford, Tori will continue to pursue interdisciplinary research on the impact of colonisation and imperialism. During their undergraduate studies, Tori advocated for accessibility to complete humanities research by marginalised students. Throughout their lives, they aim to empower communities to develop their own culturally specific climate change mitigation strategies, establish more equitable energy governance programs, and centre historical injustice in conversations about climate change.
