Sid Dhawan

Biography

Sid graduated with a B.S. in Bioengineering (Honors) in 2022 from Stanford University, where he is currently pursuing a research-focused M.S. in Biology. As a researcher at Stanford, he worked in the labs of Nobel laureate Prof. Thomas Sudhof, Prof. Tarik Massoud, and Prof. Nicolas Grillet, producing multiple first-author neuroscience publications. Committed to inclusive healthcare and education, Sid leads initiatives that advocate for menstrual equity and science education that have reached thousands of individuals across the US and India. Sid aims to continue being an outspoken advocate for mental health and diversity in academia in his future training. In preparation for a physician-scientist career, he plans to continue his studies in neuroscience, and research motor neuron diseases using stem cells and genetic engineering.
