Sara Alnajjar

Biography

Sara, a senior at New York University Abu Dhabi, is double majoring in Legal Studies and Social Research and Public Policy. At Oxford, she aims to deepen her exploration of the intersection of criminal justice and diplomacy, particularly focusing on the UAE's commitment to combating human trafficking for enhanced service to the UAE on a national and international level. Sara gained practical insights into diplomacy and international relations as an intern at the UAE Embassy in the United Kingdom. Actively contributing to her university community, she engages in the NYUAD Law Society, UAE cultural initiatives, leads the NYUAD Mentorship Network, and is part of the Student Energy Summit 2023 Team. During her year-long study away in London, Sara founded the NYU London Law Society. Additionally, she plays a key role in the Emirati dialect team, leading conversations for learners and speakers through the 'Ramsah Table' group. Beyond academics, Sara enjoys playing outdoor sports, has a passion for traveling, and delights in trying new food from different local communities.
