Biography

Sapolnach is a Lester B. Pearson scholar studying neuroscience at University of Toronto Scarborough. He believes even one single student can drive change at the policy level through long-term network-wide collaboration and advocacy of co-creating shared vision such as empowering students' voice and knowledge mobilization. His involvement in research across six research groups spans wide-ranging disciplines including cognitive neuroscience, clinical psychology, pedagogy, and analytical environmental chemistry. Sapolnach has invested in developing neuroimaging skills to study topics including temporal memory and the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on the neural circuitry responsible for depression. He aspires to advance precision psychiatry using interdisciplinary research, and leverage his extensive experience in stakeholder engagement to make our interconnected mental health, educational, and environmental landscape a more inclusive one.
