Biography

Mrinalini is a senior at Columbia University graduating Junior Phi Beta Kappa with departmental honors in Mathematics and in History. Her interests lie in the intellectual and cultural histories of the French and British empires, global dimensions of Enlightenment thought, and algebraic and geometric topology. She served as co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Asia, a collective endeavor to create a space for Asian voices in academic and artistic circles, while leading the Columbia History Association and Undergraduate Law Review and serving as a Writing Center Peer Fellow. She has conducted archival research in France, Britain, and India, and worked on legal research on gender and constitutional law at Columbia Law School. At Oxford, she will read for an MPhil in intellectual history.
