Biography

Mrinalini is graduating from Columbia as Salutatorian with departmental honors in Mathematics and History. Her interests lie in the intellectual and cultural history of empire, global Enlightenment, intersections of religion and political thought, and algebraic and geometric topology. On campus, she was co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Asia, a collective endeavor to create space for Asian voices in academic and artistic circles, while leading the Columbia History Association and Undergraduate Law Review and serving as a Peer Writing Fellow. She has conducted archival research in France, Britain, and India, and legal research on gender and constitutional law at Columbia Law School. She also enjoys meditation, swimming, knitting, and oil painting. At Oxford, Mrinalini will read for an MPhil in intellectual history.
