Biography
Madelyn is a senior at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is a biochemistry major and philosophy minor. She was awarded the Stamps scholarship to support her undergraduate research, which focused on military dependent disability support systems. During this work, she helped kickstart a military program at the Autism Society of America and helped write a book chapter on disability education at the University of Sydney. She was a distance swimmer at USAFA and is an avid skier and backpacker. She will serve as her squadron commander next semester for Viking 9 (Valhalla!).
During her time at Oxford, she hopes to learn about improving the military's approach to PTSD prevention and treatment. After studying at Oxford, Madelyn will serve as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
