Biography
Lucy Tu is a graduate of Harvard College with a double concentration in Sociology and the History of Science. Her research investigates how emerging technologies, particularly genetic interventions and assisted reproductive technology, transform legal and cultural notions of family, kinship, and parental responsibility. Her work has been published in The Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, and Journal of the American Medical Association.
Lucy is also an award-winning science writer with words in The Guardian, The Atlantic, and Smithsonian Magazine. Most recently, she served as the youngest recipient of the AAAS Mass Media Fellowship, which sponsored her work as a reporter for Scientific American.
