Biography
Linet graduated with honours from Kenyatta University, where she studied BSc (Analytical Chemistry with Management). Her final-year dissertation used molecular dynamics simulations to explore the adsorption of Ibuprofen on graphene and graphene oxide for aquatic ecosystem conservation, graduating from Kenyatta University with a BSc degree in Analytical Chemistry with Management.
Subsequently, Linet worked as an Analytical Chemist at Octavia Carbon, a leading company in the global south to build and deploy Direct Air Capture (DAC) machines to mitigate climate change. She proactively designed tests to evaluate material properties, performance, and suitability for DAC while fostering an industry-academia collaboration on this research frontier.
At Oxford, Linet designs and studies novel and scalable Layered Double Hydroxides and metal oxides for DAC. When she's not in the lab, you will find her journaling, working out, reading or in church.
