Lilli Ireland

Biography

Lilli recently graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science. Now a lawyer, Lilli has worked in the justice system, including as Associate to the Chief Justice of the ACT Supreme Court. She has also worked as a researcher in Indigenous and environmental rights. Lilli believes that the climate and biodiversity crises can only be solved with the leadership and knowledge of Indigenous Peoples. A proud Melukerdee woman, she intends to pursue a career in environmental and climate justice to elevate the voices of Indigenous Peoples, particularly in marine conservation. Lilli wants to build on her multidisciplinary scientific and legal background to help forge a new path towards climate justice and rights for Peoples and Country, land and sea.
