Kolter Stevenson

Biography

Kolter Stevenson is a graduate student reading for a D.Phil. in Engineering Science. Kolter recently finished an MSc in Energy Systems at Oxford, where his dissertation focused on non-powered dam hydroelectric retrofits in Montana. Stevenson graduated from the University of Montana and Davidson Honors College as a University Scholar with three undergraduate degrees and four majors, covering Finance, Management Information Systems, Russian, and International Business. Kolter is an ACTR Russian Scholar Laureate and studied Russian intensively in Moldova and Kyrgyzstan, where he analyzed energy infrastructure across Central Asia. Outside of the classroom, Kolter founded Smart Dorm, an energy-efficiency system for dormitories and barracks, and serves as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the East Missoula and Frenchtown Rural Fire Districts. Following Oxford, he aims to work within the fields of energy systems and Russian and East European studies.
